Our Story

At 4LongLife, we believe in the power of nature's most potent compounds to promote health and well-being. Founded on a commitment to purity, quality, and innovation, we specialize in providing premium tocotrienols and geranylgeraniol, carefully sourced and refrigerated to maintain their full potency and effectiveness.

Why Tocotrienols & Geranylgeraniol?

Both tocotrienols and geranylgeraniol are naturally occurring compounds that play critical roles in supporting optimal health. Tocotrienols, a form of Vitamin E, are known for their potent antioxidant properties, which help protect cells from oxidative stress and inflammation. Geranylgeraniol, a vital component of cellular function, has garnered attention for its potential in supporting healthy aging and enhancing metabolic function.

Our products are designed to help you unlock the full potential of these powerful compounds, ensuring that you experience the highest benefits in their most bioavailable form.

Our Commitment to Quality

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to product quality. We know that tocotrienols and geranylgeraniol are sensitive compounds that can lose their efficacy when exposed to heat, light, or improper storage conditions. That's why we go the extra mile to ensure that every batch of our products is refrigerated from the moment they are produced until they reach your doorstep. This commitment to cold storage ensures that the integrity of each ingredient is preserved, offering you the most potent and effective products available.

We work directly with trusted suppliers who share our values of sustainability and transparency, so you can be confident in the purity and quality of everything we offer. Each product is rigorously tested to meet the highest standards, with clear labels and detailed information to help you make informed decisions about your health.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to provide you with the most effective, high-quality tocotrienols and geranylgeraniol available, backed by our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and customer satisfaction. We want to empower you to live your best, healthiest life by offering products that are as good for your body as they are for the planet.

Who Is Dr. T?

Autobiography

Dr. T.”. a.k.a. Alan S. Tanisawa, is a 3rd generation Japanese-American born in an “internment camp” during World War II on the Pima Indian reservation in Arizona. After the war, his parents - Ben & Yoshi Tanisawa - returned to San Lorenzo, CA where they re-started their totally devastated carnation flower nursery business… Dr. T. attended all local schools and entered U.C. Berkeley in 1960 as a PreMed student, but without the necessary funds, continued undergrad & graduate studies in Cell Physiology for 11 yrs. His first major professor was Dr. Herbert Evans, co-discoverer of Vitamin E. https://history.library.ucsf.edu/evans.html Dr. T. was privileged to be one of his last students. Many believed he should have received a Nobel Prize for his numerous life-long discoveries… Dr. T.’s first research job was provided by Prof. Nello Pace, PhD a world famous environmental and space physiologist.  (https://ehss.energy.gov/ohre/roadmap/histories/0476/0476toc.html) He was personally selected by General MacArthur to measure the radiation after Hiroshima & Nagasaki. He sent Dr. T. to study the effects of high altitude (radiation, hypoxia) on 24 students at the White Mountain Research Station (elev.12, 470 ft.) for NASA. Other U.C. teachers: Prof. John G. Forte PhD (https://mcb.berkeley.edu/news-and-events/department-news/john-forte-1934-2012) He was Dr. T’s thesis mentor and expert on gastric transport systems; Prof. Lester Packer PhD - (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36006367/) He was “Dr. Antioxidant”, expert on Free Radicals, Mitochondria, Vitamin E, Alpha-lipoic-acid; Prof. Robert I. Macey PhD  - physical membrane models (https://senate.universityofcalifornia.edu/in-memoriam/files/bob-macey.html) Prof. Paola Timiras PhD - physiology of aging & effects of stress on the body (https://senate.universityofcalifornia.edu/_files/inmemoriam/html/paolastimiras.html)  Prof. Walter J. Freeman PhD –  computational neuroscience of brain (https://news.berkeley.edu/2016/04/27/neurophysiologist-and-philosopher-walter-freeman-dies-at-89/)  Post-Drs. Dinkar Kasbekar and Hisashi Sanui –  cell transport systems; Post-Dr. Kozo Utsumi – mitochondria; plus many Fellow  Researchers from around the world… Dr. T. is grateful to all of his mentors who shared their knowledge, skills & encouraged his continued studies and research. Special thanks to UC Berkeley for supporting his graduate studies with N.I.H./T.A. fellowships & UC SF for supporting his Dental School with Regent Scholarship. Dr. T. has been given much by many. Now it is his turn. In 2010 Dr. T. attended the “First International Conference on Tocotrienols and Chronic Diseases”. There he met Dr. Barrie Tan, the chemist that first introduced Tocotrienols & Geranygeraniol to the nutrition industry! Dr. Tan  re-kindled my scientific passions and I began to re-study these Tocotrienols. Dr.T. became a distributor to provide the authentic vitamin, with the equally important instructions on How to Store, How to Take and What Not to Take with Them. Important! Instructions are included in every order shipped…
